Looking for a meaningful, hands on way for your workplace, church, civic group, school, or organization to give back? United Way of Leavenworth County makes it easy to turn your time and generosity into practical support for neighbors across our community.
We work with local nonprofit and community partners to understand what items are needed most. Your group can host a traditional donation drive and collect supplies, or you can choose one of our ready to build kit projects and let United Way take care of the details.

Choose the kit project that best fits your group and the impact you want to make. Your organization provides a donation based on the number of kits you would like to build, and United Way of Leavenworth County can:

- Prepare and organize all materials
- Set up a kit building experience at your location or ours
- Provide an engaging and fun space for your employees, members, families, or volunteers to assemble the kits
- Coordinate delivery and distribution through local community partners or outreach events

Personal Care Kits provide everyday hygiene essentials for neighbors in Leavenworth County who may be experiencing financial hardship, housing instability, or other challenges. Items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant, and other basic necessities help support health, confidence, and dignity. By assembling a Personal Care Kit, you can help make sure a neighbor has access to the simple essentials many of us use every day.
LITERACY KIT

Literacy Kits help make reading fun and engaging for children in Leavenworth County. Each kit pairs a book with a related activity or supplies that encourage children to explore the story, use their imagination, and continue learning beyond the page. These kits are a simple way to help foster a love of reading and support early learning.

NEW HOME KIT

Moving into a new home can be an exciting step toward stability, but purchasing all of the everyday basics can quickly become overwhelming. New Home Kits provide practical household essentials for individuals and families who are moving into stable housing or starting over after a difficult season. Kits may include cleaning supplies, paper products, kitchen basics, and other useful items that help make a new space feel like home.
BRAIN BOXES FOR OLDER ADULTS
Cost per kit: $16
Brain Boxes are designed to bring connection, creativity, and mental stimulation to older adults in Leavenworth County. Each box includes simple activities and useful items such as large print puzzle books, large piece puzzles, reading materials, cards, stamps, notepads, and pens. These thoughtful kits can help encourage engagement, reduce isolation, and provide enjoyable ways to stay mentally active.

Born Healthy Kits provide essential baby care items to help support families with infants in Leavenworth County. Kits may include diapers, wipes, diaper cream, formula, and other everyday necessities that can quickly become costly for families working to make ends meet. By assembling a Born Healthy Kit, you can help give local parents practical support while helping babies get a healthy start.
